Silver Eagle Stable is 90 acres of field, trees, stable, pastures, arenas and homes in Nokesville. Opened in January 2015, Silver Eagle is owned by Tom Russell, a former Marine who rode horses when he was younger.

The original property was 75 acres. When the property next door became available, Russell was interested in the house as it dates to the 1600s with ties Brent family and the Washington family.

George Washington’s niece and her husband lived in the home and are buried on the property, acording to Russell. That house currently houses Chris and Tammy Noakes and their family who manage the farm. Silver Eagle currently houses about 65 horses with room for 74. The stable offers riding lessons to children beginning at age 5 through adult.

There are two outdoor lighted arenas and one indoor lighted arena.

Silver Eagle also offers camps for children when school is out. It welcomes homeschool classes as there is a classroom where students learn about animal science, and then they get to be with the horses.

The stable also hosts a 4H chapter and help scouts with their merit badges
In addition, movie nights are offered. All movies have horse themes.

During the farm tour, visitors will be given apples and carrots to feed the horses, the firepit will be going, children can take part in pony rides and there will be hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill.

Stop by, visit with the horses, learn about the fabulous history and see the architecture that still stands from the 1600s. The stable is located at 11506 Parkgate Drive in Nokesville.
